SS 2019
THE URBAN ISLAND

Luca Larenza’s Spring/Summer 2019 Collection is inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch of 1503 and by the Paradise Lost, an epic poem by John Milton of 1667.

Together with the “Iconic” vertical stripes and color blocks, the designer has developed a seafaring theme with patterns depicting ancient Sirens taken from medieval miniatures, corals, backdrops, fish and intertwined ropes in the form of double L.

The main part of the collection is composed of ultralight cotton knits enriched with jacquard and intarsia patterns, one part in jersey and one in knitted fabric stitch; the package is decorated with intarsia, with the floating point technique, embroidered or overprinted vinyl effect. The styles are developed on a range of coats, t-shirts, polo shirts and hoodies coordinated with soft linen pants: The dressing gown with shawl revere and belt, the regimental stitch fabric jacket, the striped or contrasting pockets, the varsity jacket, the oversize hoodie, the high-waisted trousers with a soft cut and closed with a drawstring.

The palette includes all the colors of the sea from aquamarine blue to petrol-green, sunny yellow, tobacco and bright red.
